A very old authentic Japanese sword. Most likely koto period. Has been mounted at least 3 times so has been well used. Has a few Knicks most likely from sword strikes. Has a gunome hamon and would look amazing as a display piece. A real piece of Japanese history.
Japanese Cavalry Sabre

1800s Japanese Cavalry Sabre, These swords were made by the japanese for non commissioned officers in the cavalry. The sword would be used to strike down from horseback. The blades would come and be given to the officer himself blunt to sharpen in the style and way he liked best. This example (serial no. 66729) would make a fine piece for a collector or as a wall piece / anyone who wishes to own a piece of japanese history.
